- Организация стран-экспортеров нефти (ОПЕК): международная межправительственная организация, образована в 1960 . В ОПЕК входят Алжир, Венесуэла, Габон, Индонезия, Ирак, Иран, Катар, Кувейт, Ливия, Нигерия, ОАЭ, Саудовская Аравия и Эквадор. Программа ОПЕК, принятая в 1968 г., предусматривала, что страны-члены должны стремиться к координации нефтяной политики, самостоятельному освоению своих нефтяных ресурсов, пересмотру существующих соглашений о концессиях в целях приобретения доли участия в капитале иностранных монополий, контролю над ценами на нефть и ограничению прибылей нефтяных компаний. Высшим органом ОПЕК является Конференция министров; штаб-квартира - в Вене
